Can anyone give me an interesting insight on the Plank length, time and String theory?

  1. Do you have an actual question?  If you want to read a book about string theory for laypeople, go check out one of Brian Greene's books.

  2. The Planck Length is the smallest distance that is possible to measure.  This is not a naturally defined limit, but is only due to practical physical constraints as a result of the finite speed of light.  Our ability to measure units of distance are inversely related to c; a tenfold increase in the speed of light would yield a tenfold increase in potential measurement resolution.

Here's an interesting insight that will confuse pretty much anyone you tell it to: the amount of time it takes a photon to travel one Planck Length is not in fact one Planck Second; it is actually slightly longer.  The reason for this is surprisingly simple when you know why.
