I am in the need of some new strings, my current ones need changing, I play a baseline game with a lot of top spin and some power. I'm new to all the strings stuff so i don't really know much on which ones are good or not. I've heard great things about the Luxilon Big Banger strings? Are these deacent?

please recommend me some strings that will suit my style of play! and please state weather i should have them for the Mains or Crosses

thanks

  1. These people all recommended Luxilon Big Banger, but let me tell you one thing they did not mention. Luxilon Big Banger is a very stiff string, meaning it will be very harsh on your arm if you have a sensitive arm.

Also, may I recommend the Gamma TNT 17 and/or Babolat Pro Hurricane Tour 17. Pro Hurricane is a fairly cheap string, but it provides a vast amount of power and topspin. Gamma TNT 17 is basically the same thing, but it has more touch, meaning you can execute those lobs and drop shots better.

  2. I'm also an aggressive baseliner and I snap strings fast. I'm also a huge fan towards Luxilon Big Banger. I tried couple of them, but i even used their hybrids before because I reseach them and they snap fast too. So I used pure polyster, for others polyster is bad chioce but Luxilon changed that. I'm have more power than spin so I used Luxilon Rough 16 gauge and it work fine but I want more speed so I used Luxilon Timo 17 gauge and it is magic. For more power, you should use Luxilon Alu Power.

    -More Speed Okay Power

    Luxilon Timo Gauge 17

    Luxilon ALU Rough

    Luxilon ALU Power Fluro 17

Luxilon Hybrid Ace (I never used it before because both strings are 18)

Luxilon Hybrid Timo (TiMO 17 on main)

    -More Power Okay Speed

    Luxilon ALU Power

(Most Luxilon are designed for speed and durable)

    -Both

    Luxilon ALU Power Spin 16

Once I started using Luxilon, I had no interest in others so I'm don't know much of other brands. However, these strings could hurt you're arm because it is polyster. All polyster string might hurt you arm, but I haven't been injuried yet playing with it about a year.

  3. Yea Luxilion is very good but is more for the pro type player or close to it as it loses tension faster than others. The only reason pros use it is because they restring racquets after every match. Some similiar strings that are cheaper and more durable are

Babolat Pro Hurricane-as the person above said.

    Prince Tour- favorite

    Technifibre Red Code

all of these would be mains as they are polys, and they are all very spin friendly, probably tour or red code the most. for crosses I use Gamma TNT2 which is very durable and soft

  4. The Luxilon Big Banger are my favorite strings and they're very popular on the tour as well. The Luxilon are very durable and provide alot of power. I would use them as your main strings and use a soft synthetic for your crosses. I've heard the Babolat's Pro Hurricane strings are good but I thought the Luxilon were better. Just my opinion though.
