Strip Aerobics/ Belly Dancing class in NJ?

My friend and I are interested in taking a belly dance class or a strip aerobics class. We live in Central NJ and are having trouble finding local places that offer these classes.

Does anyone know of any places in NJ that offer this

or any franchise gyms that offer these classes?

  1. You might want to start by checking with a gym or recreation center in your area. Sometimes they have dance classes, and those teachers may also do private lessons.

You can look on Shira's website.

There are belly dance websites with lots of great info about belly dance.

You can e-mail or call some of the dance instructors to find out more about their background, their style of instruction, what they expect from students, and fees they charge for classes. If you don't find a teacher listed for your area, you might want to contact one from the websites and find out if they may know of an instructor who may live closer to you.

    Good luck.

  2. Try www.njbellydancing.org

Please keep in mind though that Belly Dancing is vastly different from exotic dancing. There is no removal of clothing nor sexual content. Belly Dancing is designed for fitness, cultural exploration, entertainement... etc. If you are looking for something  more risque then you most likely will be dissappointed. Another option for classes that you may enjoy would be pole dancing and there are various locations thruout NJ that should be accesible to your location.
