I hear its possible to strip your hair of a relaxer with vinegar. Then the opposite. Is there any other way than cutting my hair to strip it?

  1. Did your grandmother give you this hot tip? The only way to get rid of a perm is to grow it out, which is why you should NEVER get one.

Otherwise you need to wash it, section it, blow it out and flat iron it. Keep doing that until it grows out. And remember to treat it.

  2. The chemicals that cause the hair to relax cannot be removed from the hair. Cutting your hair won't strip it either and you don't have to cut it off completely. What my sister did was see a stylist who would press the new growth, and trim it as she went along. My sister's hair was the same length at the end of the process.
