We are having our kids 11 months apart, the oldest is starting to walk. I want a double stroller, and was wondering what types you recommend, especially since the kids aren't the same age.

  1. The thing with double strollers is that usually teh front seat is very short and very uncomfortable, specially if the oldest wants to recline and sleep. It'salso a bit small. The back seat is usually a full seat for the younger baby. If your oldest will be 11 mos you'll still use the stroller for while! So my suggestion would be to get a stroller designed for twins.

    Best of Luck!

  2. Hiya

There are some really good double strollers on Ezstrollers.com. The deluxe twin might be a good fit for you.

  3. why don't you try some comparison shopping or look online?

  4. We have a 2 (almost 3) year old and a 5 month old.  We LOVE the Baby Trend Sit-n-stand Plus double stroller.  It's wonderful.  It's compact when folded, and roomy for the kids when unfolded.

It has one-hand folding and it's really easy to fold and unfold.  It actually folds to about the size of my graco single stroller and easily fits into the trunk of my small 2-door chevy cavalier.

It is very comfortable and roomy for our two girls (and my 2 year old is VERY tall for her age, she's taller than most 3 year olds and as tall as some 4 year olds we know.  Anyways, the baby goes in the front seat (it comes with a carseat bar so you can put the baby in the carseat in the front seat, or when they outgrow the carseat stage, it comes with a little foot rest and child tray that you can snap on to the front seat as well), and our 2 year old rides in the back seat, which can either be a standard stroller seat with a 5 point harness (which is very comfy for her), or it can quickly and easily be converted to a traditional sit-n-stand seat, where they sit on a little jump seat type thing or can stand up on the little platform, whatever they like.  The cargo basket underneath the seats is very roomy and large, it works great.  The "parent tray" has nice deep cupholders so that your drinks won't tip out of them (a problem we had with the Graco strollers), and a nice closable storage bin.   It also has nice large canopies that can completely cover the kids and shade them from the hot sun or rain.  The canopies also have little viewing windows on the top that you can open and button back (actually, it's a toggle button) to have a great view of your little ones even when the canopies are fully up, and you can also close the windows on top too if the sun is shining down on them and they're napping.  It's really easy to manuver too, it turns on a dime and handles very well!  It's fairly light weight too!

We love this product and use it all the time.  It was a wonderful investment and cost less than a lot of other double strollers out there and it's built better and has more features.  Good luck in your decison, I'd reccommend this to anyone.

  5. go to stores sell 'em and talk w the salespeople if they have feedback

  6. trust me get the tye that the kids sit behind each other..i first had a side by side and they do not fit through doorways!

  7. Mine are 13 months apart, my youngest is 5 weeks now, and I just bought a stroller yesterday after looking around, researching for months, borrowing strollers from others and finally buying, using, being disappointed with and then returning a perego - I bought a Combi side by side, it's meant for twins. It has a small storage basket under each seat and another small pocket on the back of each seat.

I only intend to use it for walks and longer outings as I usually have

one child in a carrier, so it's fine. It moves very well and I tried it at a shopping center yesterday and had *no* problem getting through doors. I didn't see many that had more storage, except for some fairly nice jogging strollers, but they wouldn't fit in my vehicle. One thing I found is you won't get everything in a double stroller no matter how much you spend- that's why I returned the $700 perego and went with the $220 combi! There wasn't enough difference to justify $500 difference I didn't like the front/back strollers in appearance and also I didn't think my 15 month old would like it- they are close enough in age that they will want to sit next to each other, and I don't want to hear arguing in 2 years over who sits in front!
