Question:

Strong Homemade Dog Toys?

I have a 12 yr old Yellow Lab mix that we rescued around 8 months ago. She is very playful and loves to swim. We have balls for her and once gave her a stuffed animal but her teeth are really strong so we need something really sturdy. Any ideas? Besides old socks.

  1. It is called a "kong" you can look it up on yahoo images or research it through training chew toys. they are the best there used for police dog trainig. last a very long time

  2. a heavy duty bucket lasts ages, have a tug of war with it to give her the idea its a toy. My wife's boxer brought home a traffic cone from his walk one day, got 6 months out of it

  3. A rubber ball with a strong rope attached to it might be a good.

  4. I made a HUGE toy out of hemp string for my puppy. I just took a bracelet pattern and used about 4 times the recommended string to make it. I bet there are directions on the internet even to how to make dog toys.
