Hello, im 14 years old and I have a strong pulse in my neck, on the left side. Its not visible but I can feel it. and I guess... hear it since i beleive its hitting on my jaw and makes vibration, so i can hear it (since my ear is right there). It sounds like when you give a small tap on your jaw. And my neck isnt always like this, its on and off. Usually when im just sitting down somewhere doing nothing, it starts.

  1. You're probably just experiencing muscle spasms. I get those periodically..  Usually they stop for a while and don't come back.. I've found that stretching the area helps.

  2. What it sounds like is a distended neck vein.  That can be a sign of elevated right atrial pressure.  You might want to see your doctor as this can be a precursor to heart problems.
