Question:

Stronger hips for basketball?

I am a skinny 130lb but play a lot of herky-jerky Nash style basketball. Over the last few years Ive had recurring intense shooting hip pains that made it unbearable to walk. I'm beginning to think it is because I have poor hip flexibility and they are simply not strong enough. What do you suggest? Squats? diet changes? endurance training? Im in a lot of pain right meow

  1. Do strecthing everyday especially for hips, even you're not practice.

Practice shadow boxing. Like a boxer..

U know boxer have strong hips... learn from there, yo!!

    Good Luck

  2. Go see a physiotherapist or at the very least your GP. For all you know if you do weight training you could only make the problem worse and seriously injure yourself. You might have injured yourself without knowing. Stop playing, see a health professional and rest your body. At least find out what the problem is and then you can work on fixing the problem, particularly if you're in a lot of pain like you say.
