The strongest bone is the femur or thigh bone.  When young, the inner part of the bones consist of red bone marrow which form new blood cells.  As a person ages, some of the red marrow turns to yellow.  Red marrow is found in flat bones and produces red blood cells, platelets and most white blood cells.  Yellow marrow is found in long bones (like the femur) and produces some white blood cells.  Go to this web site and you will find lots of interesting information on bone marrow:

  3. strongest bone is the femur, it is also the largest and longest bone in the body.  Haven't heard of white bone marrow.  Bone marrow is obviously in the bones and produces blood cells.  Perhaps the white bone marrow produces white blood cells.
