  1. For looking at the stars, you don't want high magnification. You want low magnification, because this means you will gather more light and be able to see clearer, and will have less shaking of the image. The best binoculars if you can afford them are 7 x 50. Anything bigger than this will be too heavy, and the low magnification of 7 will give you a beautiful bright view of the stars.

  2. For astronomy use, you should ALWAYS use a tripod.  Even your pulse can cause the binoculars to jiggle and that is not a desirable thing when looking at the stars for any length of time.  Also, when looking up, your arms will tire easily even with smaller binos.

    The main thing with binoculars is alignment and clarity.  You need extra attention to the alignment otherwise you will see more than one of your targets.  Try looking at the moon with both eyes open.  If you see 2 moons, those are not in proper alignment.  Don't buy them.   There are special factory lens coatings that help to enhance the optics specifically for Astronomy.

    Don't buy less than 10x50 for Astronomy.

  3. This is a matter of personal preference, as different people have different degrees of steadiness in their hands. Personally I find 10x50 binoculars the most powerful I can hand hold, though I have managed to use 15x70 binoculars if I can brace myself on something.

  4. There's quite a bit to be said for using binoculars hand held. The 3 P's of picking optics, are Price, Portability, and Performance.  I carry 8x21 binoculars for that reason.  They weigh only 100 grams.  They're so portable, there's no excuse to not have them on me.

    You might go with image stabilized binoculars.  For example, Canon makes a 15x50 pair.  They're not cheap.  Maybe $800.  That's what my 10" telescope cost.

    Try before you buy.

    <edit>

    Image stabilization should get you beyond 10x, while hand held.

  5. We are not boxing or fighting with binotelescope.Only observing.Why strongest maen More magnification????

  6. When you increase power you look at a smaller field.

    Much above 20 power, your hands aren't steady enough to

    hold it on target.
