The PSV Eindhoven in-demand midfielder has mooted all speculations linking him with a move away from Philips Stadion in the ongoing January transfer window, and has insisted that his entire focus currently is on winning Eredivisie title.

The 22-year-old, who joined the Eindhoven giants at the start of the 2011/12 season after spending six months at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Utrecht-c39237, has long been linked with a move away from Philips Stadion to join a top European club.

However, with the Eindhoven giants keen to lift the Eredivisie title at the end of the ongoing 2012/13 campaign, the club will be desperate to retain the services of the highly rated midfielder at least until the end of the season.
Strootman’s recent comments will certainly lift the burden from PSV to some extent, as the youngster has made it clear that he does not wants to move away from his club at this point of his career.
“In football there are always rumours. It is good that your name is mentioned, but I play for PSV and I want to become champions with the club”, the 22-year-old was quoted as saying to the club’s official website.
The talented deep-lying playmaker is rated as one of the brightest prospects of Dutch football. Pundits believe that the promising youngster will reach the heights of success while representing elite European clubs in the coming years.
At the moment, it seems like that the midfield maestro is keen to continue plying his trade at Philips Stadion, and wants to lift the Eredivisie title come the end of the season.
However, it seems unlikely that Strootman, who has an ongoing contract at Philips Stadion that runs until the summer of 2016, would be able to turn down an offer to join one of the top European clubs before the start of the 2013/14 season.
