Struggling with career stuff!?

Question

I cannot figure out what to do as a career. I am 30 now and have been in management and most recently writing/reporting. I am a mom (so I don't want to completely ditch my son all week, and I definitely do not want to work weekends!) I need something fulfilling. I have a BA in History, but never did anything else with it. Can anyone suggest a good career resource OR maybe something career-wise that would fit me. I do like writing, just not the type that I was doing, and I don't require tons of money though average pay would be good. Lately I have gone back to the serving thing b/c it is easy, but I feel too old for it now and need to make a change fast!

Maybe, you could do technical writing or journalism from home.  Another idea could be editor.  Many people are now being Virtual Assistants from home, which usually involves writing of some sort.

I can relate, I'll be 29 in a couple weeks, 2 kids and a mother who is stressing me!!!! Anyway check out www.fdidvd.com/ayscott05. It's helped me focus on my goals and I am creating a strong business which will allow me to retire in 5 years.
