Stuart Anderson still hopeful of playing on the PGA Tour
Last year, Stuart Anderson left the Canadian Tour in a bid to chase his dream of playing on the PGA Tour. However, after playing on the Web.com tour, the 34-year-old is back again where he started his journey from.
Anderson had an unsuccessful Web.com Tour, where he had only one top-ten finish. He made the cut in only seven of the events and could only manage to earn $38,214.
He is now back again, playing at the Q-school but his experiences on the Web.com tour will surely help him cover grounds in the Q-school.
The 34-year-old, who hails from Fort McMurray, has been playing excellent golf. He finished the first stage at the sixth spot which has now given him the chance to choose the second stage.
The Canadian is hopeful that he will make it through the Q-school once again. He is optimistic about his chances of playing on the PGA Tour.
If he can excel in the Q-school, then chances are that he might get a full time PGA Tour card directly and he is aware of that.
“I just got to climb the ladder again, it was a learning experience on the first year of the Web.com, my first year out there and I’m finding my way,” said Anderson.
“Toward the end of the year I started to find my way I made the last three cuts in a row. I just want the opportunity to get back out there and hopefully get my tour card in the next month or so.”
Finishing the season on a high note was the key for the Canadian, as he now looks to earn a full time PGA Tour card via Q-school. One positive thing about Anderson is that he believes in his game and he knows that he can do it.
“A lot of the guys I’ve played with throughout the year have won tournaments and I know I can do it,” said Stuart Anderson.
Apart from playing in America, he also participated in Canada as well. If the schedule permits him, he will definitely play some tournaments in Canada as well.
