Stuart Bingham beats Peter Lines to win 2012 Pink Ribbon Pro-am Snooker Tournament
Snooker governing body, World Snooker and the professional potters across the world take part regularly in different charity activities whether it is about helping Haven House Children’s Hospital or playing a charity snooker tournament for Breast Cancer
campaign, the Pink Ribbon. All professional players are also involved in helping charity organisations via playing in all charity snooker events.
World Snooker has been donating charity for Pink Ribbon for the past couple of years and also launched an invitational snooker tournament for the charity purpose. This year’s Pink Ribbon Pro-am Snooker Tournament also finished successfully recently at the
South West Snooker Academy in Gloucester where the 2011 Australian Goldfields Open snooker event winner, Stuart Bingham clinched the title.
The Englishman was able to hit the 2012 Pink Ribbon Pro-am Snooker Tournament victory after beating Peter Lines by a whitewash score line of 4-0. The Englishman dominated the final encounter and swept the table in no time to claim the victory. Lines, on
the other hand, had no clue to counter his defeat and missed a couple of chances to come back into the game but he failed to capitalise.
The opening frame of the final encounter was totally dominated by the Aussie event winner as he fired a super break of 103 to win the frame by the score line of 104-12 and grabbed an early lead of 1-0. The second frame went the same way as Bingham fired
a tremendous knock of 131 to hit the victory by 137-0 and extended his lead by 2-0.
The third frame started with a tussle between the two players but after the Englishman pocketed a half century clearance of 50 points to triumph over Lines in the third frame by the score line of 92-35. Cruising into 3-0 lead was indeed a lot of pressure
for Lines as he had no opportunity to score even a single frame.
The fourth frame proved to be the final finish to the ultimate match where Bingham made his successfully into the winning podium by scores of 62-51. Lines tried his best to counter but his opponent stopped his movement and clinched the victory by 4-0. The
total money calculated from the 2012 Pink Ribbon Pro-am Snooker Tournament was donated to Pink Ribbon charity organisation.
