Stuart Broad backs Ravi Bopara to bounce back in World T20 - Cricket News Update
Sharing his optimism, the English skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758.
Bopara’s build up to the T20 showpiece continued to be marred by his batting failures which added another single-figure score at Chester-le-Street. Since mid-July, his recent form across all formats fetched him the scores of 0, 1, 3, 2, 16, 0, 6, 0 and 6,
which speak volumes of his miserable run with the bat.
While http://www.senore.com/Cricket/LJ-Wright-c1841 looks like a serious contender to take his spot in the team, Broad however, is keeping faith in Bopara’s all-round skills and has backed him to come good for the defending champions during the championship, which starts from September 18.

“http://www.senore.com/Cricket/RD-Shah-c2298 has struggled in the last couple of weeks, but he’s working very hard on putting that right,” the 26-year-old skipper said.
“You know as a batsman you can be one shot away from something clicking and finding yourself back in form and T20 is the perfect format for that,’ the Daily Express quoted Broad, as saying.
The banishment of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/KP-Pietersen-c1806 from the side has exposed England’s fragile middle-order that is still trying to cope with the loss of the star batsman. The absence of Pietersen will require other players to step up if they are to retain their title, which
they won in the Caribbean two years ago.
Bopara’s all-round efforts have so far kept him away from the axe as he managed to contribute with ball. With 364 runs (at 21.41) in 19 T20 innings and 9 (at 14.33) wickets to his name, the right-hander is considered to be an important cog in the wheel for
the upcoming T20I campaign.
Broad feels that the batting all-rounder is a good player of spin, and could play the anchor role under spin friendly conditions in the Island country.
“Ravi is simply way short of his best in recent times. We hope Ravi can get back to his best because he’ll be an important player for us in Sri Lanka – not just with the bat. His bowling will be useful on those sort of wickets,” Broad concluded.
