England’s Twenty20 skipper, Stuart Broad, felt dejected after his side suffered defeat at the hands of the West Indians, in a match played at the Kennington Oval London, on Sunday, September 25, 2011.
Broad held the English batting department responsible for the loss, as they failed to chase a meagre score of 113 set by the Caribbean side. England, who are the reigning T20 champions, were embarrassingly
dislodged for 88.
The English skipper, who did not play in this series due to a shoulder injury, believes that there was lack of composure in their batting and stated that getting four batsmen run-out was simply unacceptable.

Speaking exclusively to skysports, Broad said, “Obviously the batting was a bit poor. The lads will know that, they guys will admit that. We didn't chase with any composure, to get three or four run
outs is disappointing as well. You can learn from that, talk about it and improve. These players are for the future.”
Nonetheless, the 25-year-old pacer was content with overall performance of the team. He had special praise for his bowling brigade, who even in his absence, were hard to score off.
“I thought Friday night the display was fantastic. To win by 10 wickets everyone can be proud of how they performed in that. And again, on Sunday, the bowling display was brilliant. We saw the likes
of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Scott-Borthwick-c2466 come in on debut and perform like he'd played a few games,” said Broad.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/GP-Swann-c1501 was given the responsibility of guiding the English side in Broad’s absence. Swann hadn't captained England before Friday’s game. The off-spinner was leading a young side, as certain regular
players like http://www.senore.com/Cricket/KP-Pietersen-c1806 were not part of the side.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Morgan-c77707 is still recovering from a shoulder injury, while Pietersen was given rest as per England Cricket Board's (ECB) rotation policy.
Broad praised Swann and concluded that the off-spinner did a good job of controlling the team, considering the inexperienced squad at his disposal.
The lanky pacer reckons that the current English outfit has immense potential and the youngsters have been greatly benefited by the series against West Indies.
Broad expects http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 for their title defence in October, 2012.
