Stuart Broad or Chaminda Vaas?

so id say Chaminda vass with reasonable contribution with bat

along with a test century

its probably too early in broads career to judge him as a batsman (remember, Darren Gough was once touted as a potential "new Botham" LOL) tho he does have a good bloodline, where as Vaas is in the decline of his career now

at the moment, if i had to pick one as a batsman, i would still pick Vaas, hes been pretty consistent for a long time, however, in the future i think broad will probably prove himself to be a better batsman then Vaas

Right now I would say Stuart Broad.

He's growing into a great all-rounder and is becoming quite adept at hitting some really great cricket shots and striking the ball with a great amount of confidence. He has a lot of potential and given the right amount of encouragement he could become a very very good batsman (to go along with his bowling). Not to mention that Broad has a bit more time on his hands than Vass and has a better batting average 41.22 and 29.71 compared with 23.54 and 14.09 for Vass.

Okay those statistics may not show much right now as Vaas has played more games and Broad's average will probably come down in the coming years. But Broad has made a great start and is making a bigger impact with his batting and that's why I'd say he's the better of the two.

Broad is probably the better batsman. Fearless chap, a true child of the T20 generation, walloping the ball around nicely! Vaas, however, does have a ton to his name. That might change next time England play Bangladesh!

However, taking into consideration all-round skills, Vaas is far better.

Well experience is not on his Side but can Bat only when the team is in good position.

My Pick is Vass but Broad is young and can become a better Batsman.
