England’s T20 skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SCJ-Broad-c2465 has been ruled out of the forthcoming T20 series against India due to a recurring heel injury. In his absence vice-captain Eoin Morgan will lead the tourists in the short series.
Broad, 26, had first picked up the heel injury during a warm-up match in Mumbai last month and was in doubt for the series opener in Ahmedabad. The gangling Nottingham seamer will return home immediately to begin a period of rest and rehabilitation in a bid to recover in time for the post-Christmas one-day leg of the India tour. Broad will return to the UK immediately to begin a period of rest and rehabilitation," read a statement from the England and Wales Cricket Board.
