Stuart Broad satisfied with his shoulder recovery - Cricket News Update
England's fast bowler, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SCJ-Broad-c2465, has expressed satisfaction over his shoulder recovery and is eager to prove his fitness in the upcoming Test series against Pakistan, starting in Dubai on January 17, 2012.
After a four-month long injury lay off, Broad made a comeback to the competitive cricket with a three-day practice match against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 Combined Associate and Affiliate XI at the ICC Global Cricket Academy, Dubai on Saturday, January
7 and picked up three wickets in his first three overs on the opening day.
"The shoulder seems fine, I think it was mid-November by the time it completely healed," said Broad speaking to the media at the end of first day's play in Dubai. "It seems to be back really stronger than it was before, that's pleasing,"
he added further.
Broad had sustained the shoulder injury during the one-day leg of the successful home series against India which saw England dethrone the tourists from the world number one Test status with a 4-0 series crushing. Broad was adjudged
Man of the Series for that competition. He then missed the One-Day tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 in October.
Broad found the playing conditions in Dubai suitable to his line and length and hoped the conditions would help him and his teammates during the forthcoming Test series against Pakistan as well.
"The conditions have been great because I think they are similar to what we will face in the Test matches," said the 25-year-old http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Nottinghamshire-c826 pacer. "It is going to be crucial for us in the Test match series to use the new ball
and the second new ball wisely,” he urged.
England are scheduled to play Pakistan in three Tests, four One Day Internationals and three T20 Internationals in latter’s home series which is being staged at the neutral venues of the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/United-Arab-Emirates-c3033 due to unsatisfactory
security situation prevailing in Pakistan.
