Stuart Holden suffers yet another injury blow for Bolton Wanderers – English Premier League
Stuart Holden, Bolton Wanderer’s promising young midfielder has suffered yet another injury blow in his race to come back from a broken leg which he suffered at the end of last season as Owen Coyle confirmed that the American born
playmaker would be out of action for at least another six months due a knee injury. Stuart Holden broke his leg whilst playing for Bolton Wanderers against Manchester United at Old Trafford when Johnny Evans clashed into the American midfielder.
It was a 50-50 tackle which caught Holden high up on the led. At first it was declared that Holden would take around about five to six months to recover from his leg injury but now according to the latest news it seems as if the
young midfielder will miss six more months. The recovery has already been a physically as well as mentally draining period for Holden who impressed at Bolton Wanderers before breaking his leg.
Owen Coyle confirmed the news to Bolton’s fans through the club’s website which stated, "It is a big, big blow for Stuart. He has worked so hard after he sustained the injury, but obviously the most important aspect is to ensure
Stuart's well-being and that's what we are focused on. He went in for the procedure [Wednesday] afternoon and it was picked up that the cartilage was damaged and needed to be repaired, which has now happened, and we will now support Stuart as he begins his
recovery."
Holden himself would’ve been hoping to take the field sooner or later for Bolton, the American midfielder posted a message to his followers via his twitter page as he said, "Floored, devastated, gutted, just a few words I can think
of. I will continue to fight and I'm ready for another tough journey. Not looking for sympathy but rather your support as I get through another setback. Thanks for all your heartfelt messages of encouragement.” Bolton Wanderers have had a disastrous start
to their English Premier League campaign and this news has further reduced the midfield options available to Owen Coyle.
