http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Stuart-Grant-Law-c91460 resigns as Bangladesh coach – Cricket News Update
Coach of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 cricket team, Stuart Law, has decided to call it a day and will return home after June, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed on Monday.
The former Australian captain took over as the mentor of the Bengali team last year and since then there has been immense improvement in the performance of the minnows.
In the recently concluded Asia Cup 2012, Bangladesh reached the finals of the tournament by beating two major teams of world cricket like http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758. They performed exceptionally well in the tournament and looked a completely different team as compared
to the past performances of the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755, only by a margin of two runs.
Most of the cricket analysts around the world are giving credit to Law for this pleasant change in Bangladesh’s performance. However, the former Aussie cricketer feels that he needs to spend some time with his family as he has had a hectic routine in last
couple of years. Law was previously coaching the Sri Lankan team before he took over as the Bengali coach.
BCB’s media committee chairman, Jalal Yunus, confirmed the news and told the reporters that the Bangladesh coach has decided to resign from his position.
"It is a matter of great regret for us to inform you that our head coach Law has decided to resign from his post in June for family reason," http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Yunus-c98347 told the media.
Considering the fact that the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 World T20 2012 is just round the corner, it is going to be a massive challenge for BCB to find Law’s replacement. The mega event is scheduled to be held in Sri Lanka in September and the cricket fans expect Bangladesh to
do well in the tournament because of the Asian conditions. However, it remains to be seen whether the new coach will be able to develop an understanding with the senior players or not.
The other question which BCB will have to answer is that are they looking for another foreign coach or will they go with a local mentor this time.
