Question:

Stubhub question: buy red sox tickets now or wait?

I'm visiting Boston next month and HOPE to score a ticket to a Red Sox game (those f'ers aren't cheap). Stubhub has a ton of tickets, but I wonder: if I wait until a time closer to the date of the game, do you think there will be (1) more tickets for that game listed and, more importantly (2) do you think that sellers lower the price or raise the price as the game date becomes closer?

I'm not seeing any ticket I'm thrilled with there, and wonder if I should wait it out or grab one now, while I can?

Never used stubhub, so this is all new to me. Thanks for any help!

  1. ticketliquidator.com is another good site to use. but for sure by them far in advance. The closer it gets to game day the more expensive the tickets get. TRUST ME!

  2. In my experience people like to grab tickets as the event gets closer, I would grab them as soon as you can.

  3. I've been to Boston many times and I am a Yankee fan.  If there are no tickets that you like on Stub Hub, go to the stadium.  There are plenty of scalpers around the stadium.  You might even pay less through them.  Also, there is not a bad seat in Fenway.  It is a very small compact stadium.  Just try to stay away from the bleacher seats.  it is very con jested in there and not many isles to escape to go to the bathroom or get a beer/hot dog.  I also recommend taking the subway "T" system to the game.  I believe the "D" train stops a block or 2 from Fenway.  The subway trip is very inexpensive also.  Around $6 round trip.  HAVE FUN!!!
