Stuccodor chasing fourth successive win
Stuccodor will be looking to extend his winning streak at Leopardstown in Ireland on Monday, April 15, 2013. He started off the season positively and has been performing really well for his team over the past several events. Therefore, everyone will be expecting
a solid run from him.
His trainer Dermot Weld is hopeful of a strong run, but he is not taking things for granted. He stated, “Stuccodor battled well to win by a nose at Gowran Park last time and is fit and well. But he will have it all to do back in a handicap. Northern Rocked
is an experienced campaigner and now that he is older, and probably not as quick as he was, the longer trip might suit. He will like the ground.”
The four-year-old gelding was rated as the favourite to succeed in his most recent race, but things did not turn out to be easy for him. He had to fight hard to stay at the top and finally managed to take a victory by just a nose distance.
The Irish challenger did not start the race strongly, which kept him under pressure throughout the race. However, he made up places with the passage of time and secured a victory in the end.
He has participated in a total of seven races, winning three of them. All of his victories came in his most recent outings, which shows that he is an improved runner now. Moreover, he has finished as a runner up and third once each, which clearly shows that
he cannot be taken lightly at all.
Modigliani’s son made his debut last year and has been gaining some useful experience since then. He struggled to fight in his first couple of outings, but things have started to get better for him now.
However, he will be given a tough time by Macbeth, who is an extremely skilful performer. His trainer Ken Condon stated, “We were very happy with his Irish Lincolnshire effort when he just got a bit tired in the closing stages. Hopefully, that run will have
brought him on and going back up in trip should suit.”
