Stuck DVD in in Sony Dream System?

Question

How do I get a dvd out of my Sony dream system? It must have skipped off the drawer and I just cant get it out.... Should I take the unit apart or is there some hidden eject button.

I called sony and they want $175 DOLLARS PLUS SHIPPING TO REMOVE IT. More and more I am starting to hate Sony.

I would just take the machine a part...it is a scam to ship it to them dont waste your money

Sadly, manual removal of the discs with a paperclip, as in many computer DVD drives, is not possible, and in fact the mechanism getting stuck looks like a fairly common problem, judging by the Amazon page comments (scroll down to see them). It does look like a trip to a workshop might be called for.

Suppose you might be able to take it apart but it's unlikely you'd be able to get it back together again and working. Is it worth spending $175 on, that's the question...
