Stuck at school even longer! ...?

I travel to and from school on a bus. There is a bus layby outside school where 8 or 9 buses park up. But there is a minibus that always parks at the very front of the layby and every single day the driver of the bus waits around for ages long after everyone has had time get on their bus. The layby only opens out to the mainroad so all 8 or 9 buses are held up behind. It seems I am the only person that cares that we are kept from going home and have to remain at school for sometimes as long as 15 mins just so that one sad person can finish their ***! At the end of every school day I just want to go home not stuck on a bus for no reason! Should I complain to someone or should I carry on putting up with it?

  1. It's worth complaining about.  I wonder if this lady realizes that she is holding up so many people just to finish her cigarette.

It sucks, but often in life you do wind up waiting.  Do you best to change the situation.  And remember you can always consider unschooling ;)

  2. WRONG SECTION! Im sorry but this has nothing to do with Home-schooling.

  3. yes u could, maybe the principal/ headmaster whatever 2 talk 2 the bus drivers. then u could go home quicker. or sum buses go earlier than others

  4. Here's what you can do - HOMESCHOOL!

(You are in the homeschooling section - this question does not apply to homeschoolers.)

What in the world is a "layby"???  A lobby?

What does "finish their ***" mean???

Are you sure the minibus isn't waiting on a disabled child?  My DD has multiple disabilities and her minibus is at the front of the line in her school's bus pick up area.

Just start your homework while you wait.  That's what I did in middle and high school.  Usually by the time I got home it was all completed.

  5. If it bothers you that much you should complain.

  6. at least its better than Friday School

  7. I would just chill out, listen to an Ipod or something.  You never know how bad that other person's day was.  You might not like it, but they might not like it even worse than you.  And besides, can you imagine how they feel when they are holding everyone else up.  All these people are getting into rages and killing people in malls and at schools, I would just mind my own business, and keep my head down until I get home.

  8. Let the principle of the school know there is a parking program. Each bus should be able to pull out when ready to go.
