Stuck between schools?

ok, so here's the deal: i have been going to a private school my whole life, but now i am a sophomore in highschool and my class is really small (60 people). b/c we have such a small class, they are not offering many honors or AP classes. b/c of that my parents gave me the option of going to a public school near us. I know some people there, but it is HUGE! like 300 people per grade......i just don't know if i would survive. I'd like to get better and more opportunities in my education, but i just don't know....

  1. I understand your dilemma and I think it is great that you want to expand your educational opportunities. But, I honestly think the smaller school would be the ideal choice just because they are small and can give you the one on one attention that would benefit you better. Those large public schools may offer more AP courses but they don't deal with the student. They deal more with just getting them in and getting them out. If you can, visit the public school and talk to a guidance counselor there and see if they do have something you would be interested in. Also, see if your smaller school would be willing to change up their curriculum and hold more advanced classes (maybe via Internet?). Also, is there a junior college anywhere near you? Maybe you could take some preparatory classes there. Do a little research before you make your decision.
