  1. i think kids will pick on her..i suggest u jst pick a simple name

    maybe anna,mellissa,jennifer..etc

  2. i think its pretty but a little too dressy for an american girl...

but if you really want it, you could use:

    Antiganee Rose

    best of luck,

    erin

  3. yes, she will get picked on  and once they learn "anti" (against) she'll hear it

    Maybe something else Greek....

  4. Ismene was Oedipus' other daughter. That would be a very cultured, yet tragic name indeed.

she might be picked on as Antigone was a daughter of incest (her mother was also her grandmother...)

you might want to check up on the story first though.

if you want a classical greek name Cassandra is a character from a play called Trojan Women. Its a tragedy, basically the sequel to the TROY movie with Brad Pitt. Its about what happens the women after all the men are killed.

  5. No its horrible and she might br picked on.

You might like Ellie, Chloe, Mia, Mya, Maya, Maia, Taia, Taya, Alex, Alexa, Alexia, Alexandra, Alexandria, Abby, Amy,Abby, Amelie, Amelia,Naomi,Brooke, Charloote,Demi, Daniellle, Daniella,Erin, Eden, Eve, Evie,Francesca, Grace, Georgia, Holly, Hope, Harley, Isabella, Jada, Jessica,Lucy, Lauren, Libby, Lily, Liberty,Molly, Poppy, Rhianna,Savannah, Sophia, Taryn, Taylor and Paris.

  6. Reserve the agony bit for Greek heroines who get stoned to death in the final act.

  7. antiganee julie or antiganee joleen

  8. Well, the name is certainly interesting, I don't think the spelling matters, but would you want to call her Antiganee? Or would you shorten it to Anna or something like that?

If you are going to give her a nickname that is easier to pronounce, then I would say good.

Also remember when you have to teach her to spell her name, it might be a lot easier for a little girl to write out ANNA than ANTIGANEE

  9. I like the name of antigones sister better Ismene..

but how does Antiganee Isabella sound??

  10. sorry i don't like it. I don't really know how to pronounce it and i think she will get picked on. I like different names but not this one, sorry

  11. I think she will get picked on with that name. Try to pick a name that flows well with the baby's last name.

  12. I remember learning about that play in school. Its very pretty but In my opinion, spelling it wrong is kind of... not good.

I think its creative and pretty but im not sure id like to be named it.

    but thats just my opinion

I like stuff like Amber and Lily and stuff like that

    good luck though :D

  13. Antigone is a great name, I sure remember reading that play from the oedpus series! But why dont you spell it the regular greek way? i dont think she will get picked on any more or less than other children.

edit: i was thinking about elementary and middle school, when kids most certainly wont know anything of antigone yet. but in high school they might. although high school years are never as rough as middle school years. but who knwos maybe with a name likethat hte ywoudl be. lol

if you want to check out hte story of oedipus, check out the song oedipus rex by tom lehrer lol

  14. im sorry but i wouldn't really like the name Antiganee. I am a high school student and yes, i think your child would get picked on. for a middle name, sorry, i dont have any suggestions.

best of luck to you with your bundle of joy, i love kids.
