Stuck in Europe and can't afford to get back to USA: What can I do?

Question

I bought a one-way ticket out to Europe for the summer. However, I'd like to return to the USA within the next few weeks, but airline prices have skyrocketed above my budget (one ways are minimum of $1,300). I am going from Paris to NYC.

As an American, I can only stay here 3 months without a visa (my three months ends in Sept.)

What are my options? Are there services that help subsidize airfare? Do I have to wait to be deported?

I guess I should have bought a roundtrip, but never expected prices to soar this high.

um that's a very interesting situation... I don't really know what to tell you... I doubt there is a program that will pay for your plane ticket, and to get deported that's a difficult procedure, you'll need to be discovered first, arrested, jailed, go in front of a judge and then sent back, so really that's not an option... I can really only think of one thing, lol, but that also might not be an option... my best bet would be to go to the US Embassy and see if they can help you, maybe they can stick you on a military plane or something...

I located a fare with Aer Lingus  for $932 one way ... Yes, it is high, but it is cheaper than any others.  even with the round trip it is cheaper one way.

It is for July 16th   -From Paris to NYC.

If need help getting home, you better ask your parents to loan you the money..

You will get an e-ticket with Orbitz

Buy it fast before the prices change.

It is unlikely that you would get deported, (I overstayed my time allowance on my student visa). It might be better to look for round trip tickets, even if you do not return to Europe, might be cheaper anyways. Are you a student, check studentuniverse.com. One ways are a bad idea.
