  1. Perception

  2. I guess it would have to be perception.  There is something called discalcula where people reverse number order, sort of like dyslexia.

  3. It appears to be a "perception" problem.

"Perception" is the psychological ability to process or use information received through the sense organs.  In your example, the student's "perception" appears to be a problem.

For example, A.D. Smith, in describing a perceptian problem, uses the term "illusion" and describes that as “any perceptual situation in which a physical object is actually perceived, but in which that object perceptually appears other than it really is.”

I should add that "metacognition" is the process by which the student takes conscious control of the learning. The learner thinks about how he is thinking in a cognative sense. For example, the learner is using metacognition if he realizes that he is having more trouble learning how to complete a fraction problem than a multiplication problem.  It does not appear from your example that the student has made the requisite realization.

Also, "pragmatics," in the context of learning or diagnosing a learning problem, consists of the rules that govern and describe how language is used in different contexts and environments. For example, the words and tone of voice will be more formal when talking with the principal and may be very casual and include slang when talking with other children. Social rules are very subtle. Some children have difficulty figuring these rules out and applying them appropriately. As a result, they may be identified as having inappropriate or poor behaviour.  It does not appear from your example that the student's learning disorder would be descibed as "pragmatics."

  4. well i thought it would be memory because if I'm taking a test i might take a quick glance at those numbers and go to put them down somewhere else ill at least get a number or 2 wrong. But its a toss up between metacogniton and memory :/. Perception could be another answer but its really just the process of attaining awareness or understanding of sensory information.
