  1. Estival Park La Pineda is nice but you need to get the bus into the centre of salou for the main entertainment.

  2. Callella is a cool town with everything on your doorstep!

  3. Avoid the Hotel Cala Font at all costs

  4. I stayed in the duarada palace on self catering last summer. They are lovely apts from what i was told the food in the resaurant is very repetative so go self cater loads nice places to eat a few things you should know though you cnt check in till 2pm very strict on that plus you cant access the swimming pool before 9am the doors are locked and opened by staff then there is a lifeguard based in the pool area from 10am everyday and he is strict you are not allowed lilos etc in pool nor are you allowed to wear t shirts. The apartments and all areas are kept very clean. I would definatly go back

  5. You have to go half board or its not really a holiday.  Do you really want to cook and wash up whilst away?

Salou is nice and I would recomend the La Romana.  I stayed there a couple of years back and everything was fantastic.

Of course things change over the years so there is no guarantee of it being the same but take a look at www.tripadvisor.com and see what other people are saying about the hotel.  Trip advisor is a handy site where people review hotels that they have stayed in.
