Student Travel Cards?

I was wondering I dont have an official student travel card, but my college has issued me with student id card. Is it possible to buy student bus tickets (bus eireann) with my id card, without having a student travel card?

Yes you can because I've used it before.  You don't get much of a discount but every little helps.  For a train you'd need an official student travel card though, they have appliation forms there.

Not sure think you might need the usit card, you definitely need it for iranród éireann so I'd say bus éireann is the same.

Ya  you're college student  id card will do for this  i.e if you are getting a monthly bus ticket at student rate you need this.You can also get disounts for travelling longer distances on the bus with your id card.Good Luck

when i was sending away for my student travel card i was still using  bus eireann so to get my student price ticket i used my college Id and the ticket men/ladies had no problem but they don't have to accept it so you'd nearly be safer sending away for one you can get the application forms from the local station they are purple with a picture of a donkey on the front but you can use your college id for the moment if the ticket men/women don't mind
