Student Visa France?

Question

I am interested in studying in France. I want to learn the language but after that I want to take some more courses at some community colleges as the cost of tuition is a fraction of what it is where I live.

What are the requirements for a student visa that will allow me to work to support myself while I am in France?

I am a citizen of Canada.
