Student discount card question??? (england)?

I enrolled at college yesterday where they gave me my college card to obviously get into the building and stuff and now I'm just wondering what else I can use this card for?

- Can I used my college card to get discounts when shopping or will I need to order some other card to do so?

- How much discount will I get?

- And finally, where can I use it?

Is it an NUS (National Union of Students) card? If so, it is quite a useful thing to have.

I don't know where you would be able to use it in London, but your college should have a guide to the places where you can get discounts. It often includes shops, restaurants, cinemas, etc. Smaller shops will usually have a sign in the window.

The discounts usually range from 5 - 20%, sometimes even more if you're lucky. Make the most of it.

If it has NUS written on it, either on the front or the back, you can use it wherever student discounts are offered. Cinemas and shops especially.

You just show it and it's enough.

It's usually around 10% discount
