I am trying to raise money anyway I can to buy books for school. If you can donate anything from .50-1.00, that would help! I'll appreciate anything! If you can, the address to send money to through paypal is:

  1. Good attempt. Hope you get enuf to buy books.

  2. Here is an idea. Get a job, pay for your own books. They're not that expensive. I get mine 50-75% cheaper when I buy them on Amazon and eBay. When you're done with them, you can sell them and make money to buy the books you need next.

  3. I know you asked nicely and I appreciate that, but honestly this is BEGGING.

I have NEVER asked anyone for a cent in my entire life.  I did two jobs, sometimes three and worked my way through college.  The other person that answered is right you can get books much cheaper on Amazon.

Not being nasty Honey - just keeping it real.

  4. I am a college student and mother of 4 and having a rough time, too. I've never heard of donations, though. I'll give ya an "A" for effort. There are other ways to finance your books. Sometimes colleges have programs that allow you to get your books if you have federal aid coming into the school. My advice would be to head over to the burser office and find out if your college has one. Also, try checking for small money scholarships on the 'net and at the college. Remember, after the semester ends, you could always sell the books back for a lower price. The $$ you get back can help with books next semester. Try looking on the internet, like half.com, to find the lowest-priced used books. Good luck!

  5. I worked at the student book store as a temp for customer service for two weeks during the rush to get a special discount for my books - recycle those cans and bottles,

check out becoming a tutor for Americorp /Apple program and you will get a monthly stipend of about $400 for tutoring 10-12 hours a week and then about 1400 $ at the end of the school year
