Student tax rebate?

i am a college student and i work part time. i am claimed as a dependant of my mother on her taxes so i know that i dont get a rebate check from the gov. but does my mom get the extra money then?

If you were under 17 on the last day of the year then your mother should get the $300.00 for you.  But since you are in college it is likely you are over 17 and no one gets the money for you.
