Students of pharmacy : do you think the only good thing about being a pharmacist is the money they get?

i chose this course;i was thinking that by studying this course i will be able to do interesting things and having a fulfilling job.i really like nanomedicine and i think its the time to work in this field .but it seems that i was wrong;because i see that in this site most of the pharmacy students say that the best reason to study this course is that it is a well paid job.i will study pharmacy after 1 month and i want to be sure that i was not wrong;please tell me the good aspects about pharmacy but other than money;because i think money is really un important ;the important thing is to enjoy your job;life and having some money to live but happily and i know that happiness does not come with the money of course.

  2. Working in community pharmacy is bound to be very rewarding. If you work in a chemist shop, you'll be interacting with loads of people, often elderly people, and you'll leave knowing that you have made their lives more comfortable. You will be responsible for supplying them with their medicine, after all. There's a whole social aspect to it as well.

    If you work more behind the scenes in developing drugs, again, you'll know that you have contributed to the development of medicine and in effect.. helped mankind!

    The attractive pay packet is of course a bonus, the job is very secure, plus you're likely to get the same kind of respect as a doctor does.

    I work as an assistant in a community pharmacy and I can see that the pharmacist has a really influential role, and loads of people are helped every day. Very fulfilling.
