Studio Projects C1, Audio Technica 4050 mics

Question

I've now listened and am somewhat familiar with the AT4050. Unfortunately the music stores in this area don't carry Studio Projects equiptment.  I was leaning towards the C1 do to cost but now that I can't have a listen I need something else to go on.  I understand the ear of the beholder concept but seek comment. Any comments (please)? Steve
