Well, i'd like to study abroad for 2 semesters. Majoring in Economics- was wondering which country is better for abroad. I am looking to have a lot of fun, but still learn a little bit of economics. Also, which country is cheaper for clubbing, dining, expenditures you know?

Also, if Spain, is it possible to take a bus around Europe for cheap? And also no passport going country to country in Europe?

  1. You need a passport ot travel, regardless of where you're headed. I think that you would have the best time in Australia. The Aussies are way more fun, relaxed, and smart. Spain is cool, too, but if you don't know Spanish, two semesterss is going to be trying.

Have fun, studying abroad is the COOLEST thing ever. I did a semester in London and had the best time ever.

  2. from what i know Spain is cheaper. I'm not sure for schooling but Australia is very expensive for living expenses. I know of a good University in Spain. It's in Salamanca which is a University town an hour or two out of Madrid. I've been there twice on school trips. It's a great little town. I'm not sure about the passport issue but i know that when we went to Portugal we didn't need our passports. Good luck and its great being over seas i've lived in America, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and i currently live in China. Its great. Have fun!

  3. You would need a passport to go to either Australia or Spain.  If your first language is English, you will feel more comfortable in Australia.  I worked and studied in Switzerland for one year and had no trouble going to other countries for the evening using my passport.  I thought it was quite expensive.  The best way to travel around countries in Europe is by train.  It is fast, efficient, and cheap.  You could buy a Eurrail pass for a specified period of time before you leave.  You cannot buy them once you are there.

A friend went to Australia and said she loved it there but chose to return after her year was up.   Depending on which two semesters you plan to take there, you might decide based on whether you want to be there in spring/summer or fall/winter.  I chose Switzerland for the skiing and really enjoyed it.
