Study Abroad Australia?

hey! I was wodnering if anyone has any advice on studying abroad in australia. Im a college student from New York and I love to travel and going to Australia has always been my dream but a few friends have come back and said that even though australia was awsome it was like the states. I want that whole new culture experience and I wonder if Ill get that in Australia. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

  2. Our beer is much better, it's got a higher alcohol content and you are allowed to drink it at 18 years old!!!

    Our standards of education are arguably more superior too. A bachelor degree from Australia is pretty much the equivalent of a postgraduate degree in the US.

    It doesn't take much to dig below the surface and discover that Australia, and Australians, are very different to the US even if we do have the same TV shows and mod cons of modern Western culture. Australia is also very multicultural in the cities.

    If you are not arrogant and have a thick skin and a good sense of humour to be able to laugh at yourself, you'll find Australians to be generally a lot of fun and friendly. We really don't take kindly to being compared with the US, so best not to bring it up.
