Study Abroad in Florence Italy?

I want to study abroad in Florence, Italy next summer. Has anyone else studied there? And for how long? Can anyone suggest any good programs to go through? Oh and if this would be my first time out of the country would it be better to go for a couple weeks or for a full semester? Thanks for the help.

If this is your first time out of the country I would suggest a couple of weeks because it's difficult to manage being in another country for an extended period of time if you don't know how to adapt in the first place.

A summer semester would be great for you. 4 - 6 weeks. If you hate it, it's only a month. If you love it, you enroll for another semester.
