  1. People who go abroad to study usually have very successful career in Malaysia (I know a lot of them since I also studied abroad - USA) unless...

    a) They didn't do well in their study there. They flunked out or came back with very poor grades.

    b) They went to institutions which are not recognised by the Malaysian government.

So, if you want to consider studying abroad as an option, make sure you choose a recognised institution and that you are well equipped to survive in a foreign institution. Remember, they have different language, culture, standard and values. And you'll be far away from your family so you must be prepared to be much more independent.

Weigh the pros and the cons wisely before you make the decision.

  2. It is good to study abroad, from an academic´s perspective as well as from a personal one. You gain experience, you grow by living on your own and standing on your own two feet - you get to meet different people, new circumstances, new surroundings, learn a new language, maybe be confronted with a very different culture. Been there, done that - and can only recommend it.

To answer your question properly though: where is "there" and where is "here"? As in, where do you live and where did people go you have heard of? Please edit.
