Study abroad- spain- summer program?

i would like to go to spain next summer (i'll be 17 then) as part of some high school study abroad program. i've taken 5 years of spanish and passed the ap test last year. but i would like to become more fluent.

does anybody know of any good, 2 week programs? what city would be best? thanks.

  2. Malaga is a beautiful city, relatively small though.

    I studied for 6 months in Valencia and it was the best experience ever.

    Typically students prefer to go to Madrid since it is the most common place, but I would personally choose another city. Spain is very diverse and different, cities in Andalucia such as Seville are becoming increasingly popular with study abroad programs. Barcelona is beautiful, however most of the people there speak catalan, so you may want to be aware of that.
