Study in Italy?

Im planning to do a years academic course in Italian making me fluent then im going to study a degree in Italy aswell. Where is the best city to study - i was thinking of Rome but i really want to make local friends and as it is so big i dont know whether i could do that there? I plan to stay in Italy so i want to be able to realy make a life somewhere. does anyone have any suggestions or experiences? thanks loads x

  1. I've been looking into Italy too, and from research, Florence won. I am planning to start a part time job and a part time language course in September.

    Florence is safe, beautiful and very cultural and full of life. Not as bad as Rome for sure. I have been to many parts of Italy and my favourite places to visit would be Sorrento, Capri, Amalfy and florence.  But to study, Florence FOR SURE!
