homestay-

you practice the languageon a regular basis and learn their culture right there. a hotel you don't do any of that.

Do you honestly need an answer on this? Of course it's a homestay, then you have to use the language. If you're in a hotel the staff is probably able to use English and everything comes with an English translation.

If you want a true cultural experience, home stay.

If you stay in a hotel, you are a tourist ... nothing more.

If you stay with a family you become part of that family and part of that culture and are immersed in both 24/7. You will become a family member with all of the ups and downs of family relationships.

However, if you are just going to have fun and be a tourist, take the hotel.
