Studying Abroad in Mexico?

Question

I will be leaving California and studying in Los Cabos, Mexico for a year. I am currently finishing my freshman year in highschool. If I come back would I be able to enroll back into the a high school in California? Will I need to take my transcripts and school paperwork to Mexico, and also will they give me any credits for my studies in Mexico here?
