I am 17 if I were to go to Germany and study there what would I have to start doing now to prepare for this? I have never had fabulous grades so what are the admissions tests like?

Also would it be possible to look up a college and go instead of using a US college’s study abroad program because I would rather begin there. Please tell me anything else I should know thank you.

  1. I unfortunately can't answer your question but if you get the opportunity to go DO IT!!!! I had the most amazing time. All of the kids my age spoke English anyway so I had people to talk to. It was a wonderful country!

  2. I would think that using a U.S. based program would be best for you unless you already speak fluent German! In that way, you would prepare in your university for the exchange, including language training! And, when you get there, your coursework will be designed for a non-native speaker. However, if you just try to enroll in a German university, you would not be able to function. I'm not even sure there's not a language test you must pass first as there is to attend a U.S. university.
