Studying Law in America?

i am living in England and doing my A levels. i want to study Law in America, but am confused about the application process. is Law in America only a postgraduate program? does that mean that i have to study something completely different for undergraduate?

if i study my undergraduate here in England, can i do postgrad in America? Will that allow me to work in America?

please help!

  2. 1) Law in the United States is a postgraduate program. So yes, you will have to study a different program at undergraduate level in the U.S.

    2) If you complete your undergraduate degree in the U.K. then yes you complete a postgraduate degree here in the U.S. provided of course you are accepted into a university and the U.S. Embassy grants you the visa.

    3) No it will not permit you to work, except for 20 hours per week and all work must be done on campus: unless you need employment to complete you degree. For example many law schools require students to complete 50-60 hours of pro-bono work in order to graduate. Employment in this instance is permitted with the DHS permission and is called CPT.
