Studying abroad in Mexico...?

Question

So I'm planning on attending UC Santa Barbara in the fall as a freshman. I would really enjoy to later on be able to study in Mexico, preferably in Morelia. I was just wondering if anybody had any experiences to share and how they went about being able to study there? How long should I wait to go? I speak fluent Spanish and travel to Mexico every year (about 2 hours away from Morelia). I've always wanted to experience the life and school over there.

Studying abroad in Mexico would be like camping out in your backyard.  Chile, Argentina or Spain are all great if you want to speak spanish
