I am currently in my first year studying for a Batchelor of Arts degree in Ireland(english,history,politics,sociolo... However, I would love to study abroad-maybe Sweden? I have tried many websites but one of my main worries is that a course i want to do will not be taught through English. I'm entirely sure what I want to do career wise but something along the lines of teaching, counselling, social worker?? If there is any native Irish who have studied abroad I would greatly appreciate it if you could let me know what you thought of it- and how you managed financially-e.g.council grants, scholarships etc. Thanks

  2. I'm not Irish but i can tell you stuff about sweden. There are more English language courses than you could ever imagine over there, so don't worry about it. The ability to speak English is very important in their country, almost everyone can. Check out sweden.se they should give you info and links to sites that'll give you info.

  3. I'm English speaking learning the Swedish language in Sweden right now. I know for a fact that there aren't that many full degree programs entirely in English. There are however, many courses that one could take in English, but these of course are mainly for exchange students.

http://www.studyinSweden.se has links to all the uni's in sweden. Think you can find about programs in English. As for finance, well education is free to all in Sweden just you have to support yourself. I'm not to sure but think they require you to show you have means of financial support in Sweden mounting to at least 7000 kr per month. Well, that you can easily find out at the swedish embassy at your country.

    Hope this helps! Good luck!
