Studying in South Africa is my subjects any good in Australia?

Im currently studying power engineering but want to go to Australia in the next 3 years will my subjects be any good there or am i wasting my time?

I don't know about your "subjects" (are you the Queen?) but I suspect your English may not be good enough...
